Having been employed for 25 years within both design and production environments, I have gained a diverse range of experience and skills.
Primarily possessing a solid design background, I have also attained extensive experience in project management, administration and marketing.
By nature, I am efficient, highly organized and conscientious, fully capable of managing projects and situations diplomatically and professionally.
Versatile and adept at working under pressure, I am well accustomed to handling several different projects simultaneously.
I am confident dealing with people at all levels and am equally at ease working as part of a team, or on my own initiative. My creative skills, coupled with my practical knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for design, enable me to seek innovative and realistic solutions to project briefs.

CAD/Space Planning Specialist.

For my last employers, The Changing Workplace, I carried out projects for several major clients including;
Bradford & Bingley Building Society, Marconi, Northumbrian Water and University of Sussex.
Primarily working in-
I regularly carried out building surveys to create accurate drawing records necessary to help ensure efficient use of office space.
My responsibilities also included the management of office restructuring projects. This often involved a high degree of logistical organization and communication, liaising with all the personnel concerned, preparing proposal plans and providing detailed instructions to ensure that moves were completed successfully and with minimum disruption.

AMD were a small interior design consultancy specializing in bar and restaurant design.
The company was primarily involved with the design and project management of the 'Bar 38' nationwide chain of bars, owned by Scottish & Newcastle Retail.

Temporary Setting-
Barlow Joinery Production, Sheffield.
Employed for several months on an agency contract, I worked primarily for Barlow Joinery Production but was also seconded to the financial and retail design sectors of the Barlow Group.
Projects were completed for clients such as John Lewis, Lloyds, HSBC, British Airways, BT and Sainsburys.

Small design consultants specializing in the design of retail interiors, display systems, graphics and branding projects, primarily for major fashion retailers. Being the first employee of Section d, I had considerable involvement in developing the company structure.

My many personal interests and leisure time activities include:
All aspects of art and design, architecture, the outdoors, music, walking, mountain biking, camping, swimming, history, archaeology, the environment, travel and animals.
I’m a very creative person and I enjoy producing artwork and developing my own designs. I am particularly interested in printmaking and I’m an active member of West Yorkshire Print Workshop.
